My Approach
Life often challenges us with forced twists and turns. This makes it easy for us to doubt our decisions and ability to overcome uncertainty. Despite our best efforts to be resilient, both positive and difficult events can change our sense of identity. This often brings about anxiety, depression, confusion and sometimes hopelessness. If you question whether you should have done something different to prevent you from going through what you are right now, perhaps therapy could be a helpful place for you to make new appropriate changes and find value and growth opportunities. My goal is to help you through a journey of authentic reinvention, taking value-driven actions and genuinely connecting with your environment.
Although I enjoy working with individuals from all walks of life, I’m most passionate about supporting those who are facing adaptability and adjustment challenges. My primary focus is working with parents dealing with parenting issues, immigrants experiencing acculturation challenges, and individuals navigating significant life transitions.
As a parent and part-time wellness and sports coach for children and preteens, I understand the importance of supporting parents in becoming effective leaders and building stronger connections with their children. My experience as a global mobility advisor accounts for over eight years supporting expat families raising children away from extended relatives. My background in human resources has also equipped me with the ability to help clients identify their strengths, transform experiences into valuable skills, and improve workplace dynamics through effective communication and conflict resolution.
In my approach, I integrate person-centered and holistic techniques to help you face life’s challenges with creativity and resilience. My work includes dance therapy, which encourages positive emotional expression through movement; cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to reshape unhelpful thoughts and behaviors; acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to foster self-compassion and focus on values-driven action; and narrative therapy to help reframe personal experiences and create a more empowering self-narrative. Together, we’ll create a collaborative, supportive environment where setbacks become opportunities for growth, connection, and meaning. It's important that you feel comfortable working with me. For that reason, I offer a 15-minute free consultation with no commitment to ensure we are a good fit. I'm looking forward to meeting you!
