Internships

Requirements

• Must be in the process of completing a master's level program in counselling psychology.

• Registration with the CRPO or in-progress.

• Counselling or related experience (preferred).

• Training in the arts, yoga or fitness (preferred).

• Self-motivated, caring, genuine and passionate.

• LGBTQ2S+ and BIPOC allied.

• Must be available for up to 10 hours of direct client contact per week.

About the placement​:​

• Approved practicum site with Yorkville University since 2021.

• Virtual placement serving clients aged 16+ across Ontario.

• Holistic and eclectic approach.

• Small and supportive team environment.

• Gain experience learning the in's and out's of private practice.

• Detailed training and onboarding.

• Team meetings and peer support.

• Opportunities to work with a variety of different client issues and concerns as well as a variety of modalities and approaches.

• Secure video software and email provided.

SUPERVISION NOTE: At Flexible Minds, we collaborate with an experienced external supervisor who supports our students, offering them a discounted rate ($75-$100). Students are responsible for covering their own supervision costs.
